One person was killed and several people were injured in a bomb blast in Dagestan in the North Caucasus. It was the third attack in two days in Russia.

This time, the terrorists carried out the bombing in Khasavyurt. – Unprofessional explosive device exploded when a police car drove near the scene of the incident. One person was killed, four officers were injured.

Alexander Litvinenko, who was poisoned 2006 in Great Britain, claimed that the attacks could be a provocation special services. Provocation is an intricate action aimed at the annexation of Chechnya and the elevation to power Władmir Putin.

In my opinion the most . The attacks , which took place in Russia are related to the Olympics . This is due to the fact that a few months ago, the terrorists announced that they will not allow for the organization of the Olympic Games in Sochi . Once actually the main objectives of the terrorist attacks were the objects and persons closely guarded . The terrorists began to attack innocent citizens , unfortunately . The message of such actions is simple – the attacks on innocent people , civilians have more psychological overtones , causing more commotion . The attacks on innocent people by me putting pressure on the government and impose on them certain behaviors . If someone harms society , it causes it to voters . Then automatically drops support for a political option .
A Volgograd itself as a city can also be a symbol . It is a bastion of Putin , the former Stalingrad , the city to which forcibly displaced people from the North Caucasus . So that Volgograd – lying still far from Sochi, is the first city that was attacked , in my opinion, is no coincidence .

In my humble opinion I think that those terrorist attacks in Russia will not threat the Olympics in Sochi. The Russians are not stupid or powerless , I think that the Olympics in Sochi will be the most protected and guarded sport event in the history , bacause of those attacks. There might be some accidents but I think that they will not happened in Sochi, but somewhere else maybe even in Moscow. The terrorists are actually making a hudge mistikes if they really want to attack people in Sochi during the games . All of those previous attacks were surprise attacks to scare people and bring a little bit of chaos in Russia, but my question is if you really want to kill people during the Olympics is it not a bad idea to blow some bombs before that and say ” hey we did this , we will attack during the Olympics in Sochi” that is just stupid even for the terrorists. I think that the actual target might be so different then we suspec. If i was a terrorist (hihi) I would do the same , make video call after the attacks that this is only the beginning , that I will blow some bombs in Sochi during the Olympic games blablabla, then when 99% of country security services will be in Sochi, I would attack my primary target bacause it is unprotected now, because all the police etc.. are in Sochi waiting for the “bombing” that will never happen there. I think that is the case, it is like being a thief and saying to the public that you will steal this or this object from this or this place during this or this time , do not be naive , nothing like this will happen. The Olympics are really safe in my opinion, they will be probably protected twice as good as they wanted it to be protected in the first place, however I am not so sure about places outside Sochi…..

Terrorists are terrorists: their only goal is to spread the panic and fear all around the world.
If someone says that these terrorists attacks in Russia are not related to the winter olimpics in Sochi then this person is just not very smart. Terrorists want to show the Russian government that they are very powerful and that they can blow the olimpics to the sky. In my opinion there will be at least one attempt of the attack. On the other hand we need to remember: this is Russia. We can say a lot of bad things about this country but if their president Vladimir Putin says that he will do everything to keep the olimpics safe, he will do it. The only question is: are the terrorists smarter than Putin? I think we will get an answer to this question in a few weeks.

Even when you know this facts from the news it scares you when you see it once again and all in one article. I have no tollerance to terrorism. I agree with Mateusz – they just want to spread panic. It’s their food.
Every big event, especially the Olympics should have increased security, with antiterrorists ready to go every minute. Big events draw attention to terrorists. There is no accident that those events happend so close to eachother and so close to the Olympics. If there where terrorism acts in Warsaw’s transportation I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a bike or walk, even 5km to Kozminski. It’s normal reaction. I’m a little suprise that Russians even stayed there because my instant reaction would be – pack and run.

  5. Mateusz Zych says:

In my opinion the terrorist attacks that took place in Russia had warning before the upcoming Olympics in view. Maybe terrorists are preparing something spectacular. Pity that by the spirit of sport innocent people suffer. After the first attacks Russians (and in particular special services) should pay more attention to people behaving suspicious. They should also precisely check who comes to their country and for what purpose. This is, after all, in the interests and security of the country. It is known that at the Olympic games the control will be more restricted and the security will be at the highest state but still one of the suicide bombers may find yourself in the stands and detonate bomb, killing himself and the audience. I do not know if this is possible and I hope earnestly that special services will ensure everything.

In am pretty sure the terrorist attacks in Russia threaten the Olympics in Sochi. The situation is very dangerous and all the Russian goverment (and not only Russian) is trying to do its best to avoid any act of terrorism in Sochi. Few days ago i saw Putin’s commentary on the situation and I think that he is very well aware of the sitation and I hope he will use his professional political and strategic skills to secure safe Olympics.

The Olympics in Sochi is a huge sports event. It will bring thousands of tourists, politicians, heads of governments. All of this makes the event a very interesting point for act of terrorism. The previous attacks of terrorists are in common with the Olympics. The main point for terrorist is to frighten people and spread panic around the world. That is my humble opinion. People are frightened and don’t want to use public transportation. There’re afraid of visiting public places. The whole world is looking at the situation in Russia and wondering what will the Russian government do to secure the event of Olympics. Will Putin stop the terrorism and give all the visitors the most wanted security? I am sure that Olympics will happen. What I don’t know and cannot be sure of is a one hundred percent absence of terrorist attacks during the Olympics.

On the issue of the legalization of ANY part of marijuana – I am totally for liberalization on the use of this highly mentally addicting and dangerous psychotropic drug. It should be totally legal. People do not realize or do not care to realize the danger of this substance to persons who use / abuse it. American society is now and will be moving more-and-more into its acceptance, because it is becomming more and more educated, responsible and understanding.

  9. JanK says:

In the world-wide fight against terrorism, there is also a conflict between what’s best for individual rights, and what’s best for the security of society. I side on “What’s best for society.”
However, nowadays almost everything seems to be the act of terror. Both – from governments of non-democratic sociaties or from the people.
We should raise a few important questions.
Do we fight terror with terror?
Or is peaceful solution an effective way to put an end to such actions?
    We shall wait and see.

Couple of days ago in the evening Moscow time took place a next terrorist attack in Russia. This time exploded car outside the restaurant, which had previously been shot at with a grenade launcher. Fortunately no one was hurt, but this information is alarming. Although I understand that Russia, in particular understood through the prism of policy applied to other countries is not the country treated with sympathy, I am categorically condemning this type of crimes. There are millions of ways to draw attention to the problems, which avoids suffering of civilians. Maybe what I say will be controversial, but in my opinion terrorists, when they want to make politicians suffer, should attack exactly politicians. Ordinary people are not guilty of anything, so they shouldn’t lose their lives and be afraid of suffer. Life in Russia outside Moscow and is already survival school. I’m also afraid the next Olympics. I very much hope that the service will not allow a repeat of the tragedy of Munich.

  11. rgorecki says:

The terrorist attacks in Russia is an attempt to use the upcoming Winter Olympic Games to the problem of coexistence of many cultures and religions in one country. Russia is trying to deal with the radical methods of imposing top-down standards. Those who oppose, also resort to drastic measures. It’s hard to say who is right, however it is important to emphasize, that in the terrorist attacks those who suffer are ordinary people, who do not have anything to do with the subject.

  12. lkalinowski says:

The beginning of Winter Olympic Games in Sochi will surely cause many manifestations and other statement expressions in various forms. Russia is huge and strange country, in which many cultures and many nations live. During Sochi Olympic Games, Russia will gain the attention of all people who own TV at least. Or people who are connected to the Internet. Nevertheless, those are MANY people. It could be pretty obvious, that terrorists didn;t forget about this. The only thing they care about is to spread fear across the hearts of all people and such event is the best opportunity to do this.
Will they threaten the Olympis itself? Hard to tell. Though I am sceptical, I don’t want to except the worst. I guess that terrorists will not dare to attack the Olympic premises or contestants. I hope they will not.

  13. Marcin Zembrowski says:

The main reason of terrorist attacks is the war between Russia and the Caucasus residents who want full independence of its territory from Russia. So I think that Olimpics in Sochi will not be compromised. President Putin is a powerful man and a terrorist attack during the Olympics would activate a cascade of actions against terrorists in Russia. In addition, Sochi will be protected by thousands of troops because I believe that people who come there will be able to feel safe

  14. Martyna. Sz says:

Recent terrorist attacks which occured in Russia definately are not encouraging for both fans and players who are about to compete in coming Olympic games in Sochi. Although, Russia has been known as a terrorist state by many of western countries, the latest acts of violence were supprising even for them. While the Olympic countdown is widening down more bombs are explosing across the Russian territories. Following that, the public attention started to question whether the events from Volgograd and Volga might threaten the Olympics. Personally, I think that above mention tragedies are frightening and sad, however, will not overshadow the winter Olympic games in Sochi. I believe that the Russian government will ensure the world that safety and joy would be a counterpart to gold medals.

  15. Marta says:

In a world where a lot of the last few years we hear about, the terrorist attacks
In recent years, the subject of terrorism is very common. Very often we hear about of bloody events related to atatkami. Where killed a lot of innocent people. Recent events that took place in Volgograd, Towns located close to the Sochi may raise concern and omnipresent fear of similar events at the Olympics. However, I think that the President of Russia will make every effort to ensure that this situation does not take place. I put all the possible services at his feet to prevents it.
