In an opinion poll taken after Jaroslaw Kaczynski formally announced his candidature for June’s presidential election, the former prime minister trails Civic Platform’s Bronislaw Komorowski in a second round head-to-head 35 to 57 percent, according to SMG/KRC (Poland Human Resources) pollsters.
In the first round of the election, then acting president Komorowski would receive 47 percent of the vote, Jaroslaw Kaczynski (Law and Justice) 27 percent, SLD (Left Democratic Alliance) leader Grzegorz Napieralski 5 percent, Waldemar Pawlak (Polish Peasant Party) 4 percent, independent Andrzej Olechowski 3 percent, Andrzej Lepper (Self Defence) 2 percent, Marek Jurek (Polish Right) 1 percent.
Seven percent said they had yet to make up their mind which candidate to vote for. Seventy seven percent said they would participate in the elections, a high turnout by Polish standards.

What do you think? What’s your guess?

After this tragedy I am only afraid, that there can be used human emotions aren’t, encouraging or discouraging from the given candidate. So that indeed we look at the matter with sober eye and chose somebody, who both he is speaking in concrete terms and he already managed to reach something and he showed this society. It is necessary to remember to read between poems or what is a “small form”. Let us keep a cool head in spite of the atmosphere of this tragedy. Here should win the mind, not emotions!!

This presidential election are going to be very weird. I would not trust those polls because they are only predictions. We still have 1.5 month to presidential election. I remember that in presidential election in 2005, there were polls, which said that Tusk will win in second round, but won Kaczynski. In media, there were information that Tusk will receive around 55% of votes and Kaczynski 45%, but turnout that Kaczynski received 54%, Tusk 46%. It’s hard to predict who is going to be a winner. Everything depends what will happed after first round.
Sometimes I can’t understand why people are so malicious. PO followers and PIS followers fight between each other. This fight is so aggressive and very brutal. I understand that someone likes more Komorowski or Kaczynski, but those candidates maybe don’t have exact the same point of view but they have similar rightist view. I could understand malicious behaviors if there were one candidate form leftist party and one from rightist party. We should remember that those two candidates have rightist view.

In these difficult times it is absolutely crucial for the Poles that the authority in the country have to work effectively. This is why, we must realize that the votes in the elections which the Poles will be given for 6 weeks, will be decisive. These choices will affect the future political situation in Poland – whether we have authority consistent, which will operate consistently, which will rely on cooperation with the government of new President or whether we have divided authority, which would be very dangerous to our country.

Small steps we approach the election day, and now we start to see where our candidates battle for the presidential chair is very fierce? Komorowski won is on the side but we know that the polls were not always right. Can candidates take the fight citing recent disasters? Komorowski was not last very welcome guest in the UK, the incident with an artificial pen*s, and his comments about it, show that he can not count on the support of Polonia.

Komorowski is my candidate for president. However, I believe that in this campaign, vote for him is the best choice. I hope that people will think seriously about the elections and vote in them. It is very important!
