Despite the fact that twenty years have passed since the end of the cold war between the USSR and  the US the espionage in on the run. In recent years various scandals concerning spies form both Russia and the US were repetitive occurrences. The special services of those countries have been fighting for influence through the whole world. Sometimes the fights between the scenes are brought to light, like the shelling of Russian embassy vehicles by agents of CIA, or the poisoning of  theformer -KGB agent  Aleksander Litwinienko.

The relation between Russia and the US were always complicated. But recently the struggle between the world’s powers seems to intensify.

What will the future bring if their fight will reach new level?

Have your say!

Despite the announced partnership and hypocritical, as it turns out, the end of the conflict this fight continues to this day. Despite the difficult situation you should try to come to an agreement, but instead the conflict intensifies. Both sides want to fight each other without looking at the fact that, by their disobedience may be affected by the state of the public.
Probably a number of events or the media or the more entangled in the “war” state do not speak loudly. although it should take into account all eventualities while not stirring up the conflict.

I think that as long as both sides know everything about each other thanks to espionage they won’t dare to attack.
What’s more i think it’s good that they conduct “secret war” instead of more bloody war.
Beside some people belive that espionage is extension of diplomacy.
Probably all contries in the world have somekind of secret service.

In my opinion topic of secret agant of both, CIA and KGB will always be very sensitive. Why? Because it’s mistery and we will never know the whole truth. That’s why we still watch new James Bond movies. And maybe it’s good that we don’t know everything. Couple years ago there was a scandal in Poland about secret CIA prisons for terrorist in Poland. I even was on the meeting on University of Warsaw, where there was a debate with Helsinska Fundacja Praw Czlowieka and an attorney of a man, who decleres he was in CIA prison in Poland. There is so much controversy around the topic, that it’s impossible to discuss it in couple senteces. However, as Kacper said, as long as it’s secret war, it’s better for the society.

The very last sentence perfectly suits the current situation. Relations between world superpower countries got enormously complicated due to the revolution in Syria, reductions in the number of tactical warheads and constant find-outs about so-called “spies”. After today’s Obama’s speech at Brandenburg gate, BBC widely goes through the topic and points out most of the misunderstandings.

In addition to that, there still exists the aspect of the mismatch between these two countries..

First of all- Whaaaat the hell what KGB CIA tensions?! KGB was disbanded in 1991, so umm well- nope. Back to the topic- now that “cold” conflict might heat up a little since Russia’s statement on having asylum for Mr. Snowden know for revealing the “PRISM”. Lets just hope that it will remain cold and we won’t get nuked up.

In fact, in recent times the conflict between Russia and the United States been stepped. For the two cases. The first, was the situation when Snowden revealed secret information about the surveillance society and hid in Russia, which did not agree to be deported him to the United States. Another situation is the question of military intervention in Syria. Russia is an ally of Syria and will not agree to such an arrangement. Even if the conflict between the great powers to tighten, it will not tighten to the point that comes to the last resort. Speaking of last resort, I mean, for example, the use of nuclear weapons. Any war between the U.S. and Russia would lead to a global disaster. Regardless of the various tensions and differences of opinion, the state will want to communicate. This can be seen today, where in the beginning had a very different opinion about military intervention, and now slowly finding a common interest in this issue. In short there will be no fight, because the two countries will seek to reach a consensus.

Hundred years ago nations gained influance, through wars and conquest now with such destructive weapons as nuclear bombs and maybe even more dangerous weapons open war could led to end of the world we know. So some aggressive countries such as USA or Russia not to lose influenc changed to secret conflicts with only spies.
However i don’t theirs struggle for power intensify, it’s just nowaday technology make it harder to hide.
