Have you ever been wondering why the law is so fanciful? There are plenty of rules which are pointless but they are still binding. It might be depressing but cheer up – law not always must be boring! Lawmaking bodies have also sense of humor. Let’s focus on some of the ridiculous rules. You will laugh your head off!

Let’s take the example of Alaska where you can’t wake up polar bear only for taking him a photo. I think that is not clearly communicated who is protected by this law: bears or stupid tourists who might become a delicious snack? On the contrary, in Indiana, animal rights are in the first place. In this state smoking is strictly prohibited but… only for monkeys! Animal addictions are also monkey on back in Fairbanks (Alaska). Drinking problem among mice has become so meaningful that the new law was created: no tolerance for giving them vodka!

Unfortunately the legislature has decided to look closer at human temptations too! In England eating chocolates in public transport is a serious trespass however it concerns just women. As Forrest’s mother said: “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” But those who have sweet tooth get only bitter pill to swallow. In similar, very disappointing situation, are young boys under ten. Looking at naked shop-window mannequins seems to be dangerous for pure minds of youths… Their curiosity has to wait by they reach the age (and then they will be eligible for admiring fake beauty). But even in France – the place full of love, we bumped into surprising law: no kisses on trains. But don’t worry, love always finds a way… somehow.

All in all the law may be the butt of a joke but even though we should remember about its power. Keeping distance from it is the best way to respect law but also note many shortcomings… and smile!
